Ember's POV

My mind was not ready to see Sonia because I had already thrown a punch before hearing her yelp in pain and I decided to let her go. "Hey, sorry about that." I apologized.

She was still wheezing slowly. "it's fine, ma'am. The Alpha asked that I come to stay with you while he gets rid of the nuisance."

"Why is there never peace here?" I've recorded two incidents of breaking and entry since I came here. Is there a special reason they are targeting the pack house?"

Sonia's gaze flickered from left to right and I tilted my head, gazing at her intently too. It seemed that there was more than what met the eye here.

"Is there gold in this house? A statue or something so valuable that makes them have unrest."
