Chapter 60

Kyle and I quickly rushed to Central Union Hospital. With each passing second, I was getting more anxious. I was hoping and praying the information I had for Dr. Marsh would change the outcome of Emma’s condition. I had the nurse at the front desk page him and I waited impatiently in the waiting room. I was getting irritated that he was taking so long. Deep down I knew I was being selfish since Emma was not his only patient, but at the time I did not care.

Kyle was trying to stop me from pacing back and forth but the look on my face made him back down. When Dr. Marsh finally arrived, my anxiety fizzled out and I felt better. “Miss Greene, I heard you were looking for me. What can I do for you?” Dr. Marsh asked pleasantly. “Can we go somewhere more private. I do not need anyone to overhear what I am about to say.” He nodded and suggested his office.
