Chapter 33

Lian

I looked at the old man with disdain, hatred beaming in my eyes as I tried to restrain myself from slashing him in the neck.

"You vile and evil man! How could you!? She is your daughter for crying out loud," I yelled, pointing at my guard who was fast disappearing with Renae clutched in his arms.

"The small doctor is nice and I hope she did not inherit a bit of your wickedness!" I blurted.

"So you know, Renae Hart is dead as of today!" I repeated firmly

The old man remained unfazed, he stood there looking coldly at me as I ranted. My blood boiled and I tightened my grip on my sword, using all my strength to stop myself from slashing the vein on his neck.

My gaze darted around and I stared at the woman and the lady beside her. Instantly, I concluded that she wasn't Renae's mother. No mother would watch or do this to her daughter.

I wanted to talk but I was short of words. I shook my head slowly and staggered away.

I returned to my carriage and ordered my men.
