The young man was still in his black hoodie but his head wasn't covered.
He strolled the street by the roadside as he looked around. He watched humans go about their activities with no expression on his face.
As he strolled he stopped looking up into the sky. The sun was out and hot. He hated that. Back from where he was from, there was no such sun!
But this was earth...and he had to bear the sun.
It was logical that the only way of escaping the sun's wrath was going under a shelter but looking ahead, there was no suitable shelter around.
He released another frustrated sigh as she strolled through by a bush. He stopped on hearing a 'meow'
Looking by his side and close to the bush, he was a black cat rolling on the floor and scratching itself.
For a moment, he had an idea as he fixed his gaze to the little furry beast.
Like he had given it a signal, the cat stopped and looked up at him. Their eyes instantly linked and went blue.
With no one watching, he went into the cat possessing it.
Then in the cat, he went into the bushes taking shelter as he scratched himself against a tree. It felt so comfortable!

Sunni was running late!
She didn't find any cab so she had to run through the street until she could get to the nearby bus station which was far.
"Why are there no cabs today?!" She questioned rhetorically as she ran by the roadside on the street. "Are they on strike?! Gosh! My damn luck!"
She continued running until she suddenly came to an abrupt stop.
She had seen a little kid standing by the roadside and crying. she instantly took pity on the little girl as she approached her.
"Hey kid, why are you crying?" She asked."I lost my cat" The little girl cried.
"Aww...How? "
"I came out with it to play but it took off and I never found it" she narrated.
Sunni felt a vibe coming. This seemed like a job for detective Sunni!
She smiled imagining herself in a full detective outfit. Whenever there was a mystery, she would always take the lead!
"Don't worry kid....I'll help you find it" she assured
"Really?! Thanks" The kid appreciated.
Sunni led the kid off to search for the cat as she asked the kids questions that could help find the cat.
"Did you feed it this morning?" She asked.
"Miss...what does feeding have to do with my cat running off?" The kid asked.
"Ha! Don't you know that it might be hungry and run off....we have to be practical here," Sunni said as they moved ahead.
"Here kitty kitty kitty kitty!"
They called as they moved just then Sunni saw a paw on a muddy area. She stared at it with a smile " I think we're close to solving this mission my friend...let's go!"
As they moved, Sunni suddenly received a call from Hana.
"Wait kid..gotta answer this " She stopped picking the call "Hello Hana....what's it now..?"
As the kid waited, she looked ahead to see her cat scratching itself against a tree. She smiled running to it.
"Maomao! " she called out to the kitty.
The black kitty turned to look at the approaching kid as it quickly flew into the air and landed on the tree. It was an extremely high jump!!
The kid stopped. Jaws dropped and eyes wide open as she looked up at the cat who sat on a branch.
It was magic! No skill! It was certainly impossible and this got the kid shocked.
"OK.....bye" Sunni cut the line and ran up to the kid "Have you found it?"
Without a word, the kid pointed upwards to the kitty.
"Ah...I'll help you get it down" Sunni assured as she began going up the tree.
After a while, she was close to the cat. Thank heavens she wore her jean trouser else she didn't know what she could have done in this situation.
"Here kitty....come to mama" she slowly carried the kitty carefully in a hand and slowly came back down.
She handed it to the kid " Here you go, you're welcome " she said as she left.
The kid stared at the kitty in her hand, still in shock. she hadn't quite forgotten what happened earlier.
The cat turned its gaze to Sunni who was leaving as the young man inside wondered who she was.
As soon as she had touched him ( through the cat) he had sensed strong familiar energy...one he had been looking for for years now...
Could it be? He wondered. He had to confirm.....
·—————.
Sunni kept on running until she got to the route. Opposite her was the bus station and only the road was the barrier. She quickly went to wait at the zebra cross for the time to cross.
The young man who was in a black hoodie watched her from behind as he slowly followed her. He examined her as he followed her.
Then he finally stood behind her where people waited for a red light.
Just as he was about bringing out his hands to touch her hand. The red light came.
People began crossing, including Sunni.
The young man not understanding what was going on watched them cross especially Sunni.
After a while she had gotten to the bus stop and turned in his direction, he decided to cross to, eager to get to her and ignorant of tragic lights.
The light had turned green and vehicles had resumed.
He had entered the road and now was in the middle of the road when a car approached him.
He wasn't looking sideways but his gaze fixed on Sunni who was looking around for the bus to arrive.
Sunni's attention fell on the boy on the road and the approaching car! All she could think of was saving him as she quickly dashed into the road.
The young man was shocked to see her as she ran up to him, grabbed his hands, and led him off the road. As they moved his heart slowly raced as the tall man looked down on the petit girl pulling him away... He could only confirm to himself...
"I finally found it "
With both hands on her hips, Sunni panted softly recovering from the shock. She exhaled looking up at the strange guy who still had his eyes on her. She stood straight looking up at him. This condition made her wonder if she was just too short or was this guy tall! "Hey, what were you thinking?" She asked but the guy said nothing. He and his gaze fixed on her as if he and finally seen the person he was in search of for years. It freaked her out. "Why did you stand in the road? Do you want to die? How can a fine Young man like you die like that....it's just not proper" she said wiping out the imaginary sweat off her forehead. He was still mute, eyes down on her as she paused, meeting his gaze. Suddenly she looked around and up at him. "Eh...well I'd like to stay and have some chit chats but I'm seriously busy right now. Okey? She slowly brought up her hands as she stood on her toes. Her right hand met his h
The night sky was pretty The full moon was also out as the stars filled the sky into a starry night. Yang Sunni was sad. She slowly walked by the roadside on that cold night. The street was a lonely one, but it was a shorter road for her to get to a bus station leading home. But she didn't want to go home just now. She was sad and it was shown on her face. She walked by the street looking up into the night sky as she thought about what had happened hours back -------- "what are you doing here?" Detective Lin had asked about seeing her. "Well...I....actually....I...." She scratched her head nervously. Dave Lin had checked his wristwatch from time to time. He was running late to where he wanted to go and Sunni was delaying him. "If you have nothing important to say...then please may I leave?" "Well, actually I wanna join your agency. The thing is that..
Yang Sunni wasn't awakened the next day by the alarm as usual but by the rash opening of the bedroom's entrance door. Startled, she jerked out of bed looking towards the direction of the door, Hana walked in. Reluctantly, she yawned stretching out herself. "What's up with the slamming??" She asked. Hana seemed to be in a hurry as she dashed into the room and approached her wardrobe. Without words, she opened it and began taking out clothes that she put into the bag she placed aside. Sunni slowly got out of bed as she watched her pack in a hurry. Only a guess would tell her all..." Where are you going?" Hana didn't reply but continued. "Hey...Hana, where you going?" She asked again. With a sigh, she stopped and looked up at Sunni. "It's kind of a long story, but I'll cut it short. Mum and dad who continuously insisted I go on blind dates to find a boyfriend has set up a blind date for me back in town and I have to go
“My name's Sunni, Yang Sunni. And you?" Sunni said trying to escape from the handshake. The Young Man was still holding her hand firmly in a handshake. When she finally escaped from the handshake, she smiled asking again as he paused without giving any answers. He had his eyes on her. Those eyes that were both alluring and murderous, but ignorant Sunni didn't care less. "Don't you have a name?" She asked again as he slowly nodded. She was confused for a while. How could he not have a name? where could he be from? what situation could he be in? All these questions rang in her head but she didn't care much to answer any of them. She simply sighed looking around. "So you don't have a name?" She confirmed as he nodded cluelessly again." Which means I'll have to give you a name. Right?" He went mute still staring at her but she continued. "In that case....what name should I give you?" She thou
Dave Lin had probably worked overtime. This is evident from the time he was still in the office. He took a quick glimpse at his golden wristwatch. It was 9:50 pm. Quite too late for his usual working schedule. But he seemed busy and occupied at the moment. With the files filled up on his table and the computer on before him which he operated from time to time while going through files, he was certainly going through a case. Or rather the case at hand. He took a while to surf a particular file that was bodied with words that only he understood. He seemed lost in it, lost into the words in it and the sense he tried to make out of it while linking ideas. He didn't seem to be in the mood for anything else. His busy scenario was interrupted by a knock on the door. He paused, looking up to the door." Who's there?" He wondered who was still in the agency late at night. "It's me...Lara" The familiar feminine voice came from the oth
"What??" He was a bit too bold to repeat it! " I have no home. So I want to stay here with you. Can I...?" "No!" Sunni snapped even before he ended the words harmoniously. "You certainly can't stay here at my place!" Sunni didn't know what she was feeling right now. Shock? panic? Whatever! The feeling was awkward. What was this guy saying? was he too dumb that he didn't know the implication of what he was spouting out?. "Why?" He asked. "You....are you trying to tease me or what? How can you say that?' "Well, I just wanted to stay here...." "No you can't" She chipped in again "Don't you know it's inappropriate for a boy and a girl to stay together in one room? No, I refuse" "But why is it inappropriate?" He asked She was gonna go insane from his ignorant questions. Who on earth asks such questions?? "it's just inappropriate.. only couples and married ones can do that" Sunni trie
Sunni thought that perhaps if she walked more quickly and not look at him, she would forget that scene. So she walked briskly by the road side without looking back.Lucas was behind her. He wondered why she was walking so fast without any hope of stopping. He too tired to increase his walking pace to see if he would catch up but Sunni seemed to have increased her walking pace.He had to choice but to walk from behind while wondering why she was walking like that.Sunni was still walking but he little brain was still dashing to that scene from that morning. She shocked her head to cast it out but it was Still coming! She was doomed! She was walking so quickly and distractedly that she failed to see the bench before her. She bumped into it with her leg. "Ouch!"She ended up sitting on it while she tried easing the pain from her leg by massaging it.Lucas came to stand before her as she slowly looked up to meet his gaze. She blinked as all her
"Mister, Give us two cones of ice creams, Strawberry flavor for me"Yang Sunni and Lucas stood before the ice cream truck as the jolly seller whooped up a cone of ice cream . "Here you go" He handed it to Sunni.Sunni looked at Lucas who was busy observing the scenes "What?""What flavor do you want?" She asked"What you have, I'll have" He insisted. She didn't know what was in this guy's mind. Was he trying to act polite or considerate?"No...you can't have strawberry" She insisted."Why?""Because..... you're a guy.....and guys shouldn't have strawberry flavor""Why?""Because.... it's just so, so stop bothering me" she looked at the ice cream seller. "Give him chocolate"The man whooped another one, this time chocolate and then h
