ELYSIA'S POV

At first, it felt like I was floating in a cluster of clouds since I could no longer feel my body touching the ground, instead, I felt strong arms around me and holding me closely to a soft body.

My eyes fluttered open to see Asher carrying me securely in his arms.

I blinked my eyes open and looked into his face.

"Asher," I mumbled.

He looked a little bit upset and didn't even spare me even the slightest smile.

"What were you doing falling asleep in the nursery where you could have gone to bed?" He asked me crossly.

I wrapped my arms tightly around his neck and hugged him.

"I was trying to put it in order since you were out with Nikolai, you didn't come back on time so I thought I should do something to pass the time," I said, pouting.

"But, you shouldn't have fallen asleep there, you know sleeping like that on the ground could be dangerous for our child." He said and used one of his hands to push the room door open.
