We got ready and packed up that night, and the next morning, we set off for the place where the meeting was to be held.

We went with two cars because we needed to take along with us the other people who were in the field the other day and some of my men.

I kept having a hitch in my breath all through the morning even while we packed up the things we would be needing for the duration of the meeting into the car.

"Are you ready?" Elysia turned to me once we were done and I swallowed hard.

"Yes,"

I did not seem to be able to get my heart to be at peace all through the drive there because I was worried. I could not just shake off the feelings that something was going to go wrong.

I felt the strong urge to suddenly turn the car around and return to my pack, but I knew I could not do that because whether I liked it or not, I would eventually have to answer to the call of the other Alphas and I realized that the earlier I did that, the better for both I and Elysia.
