17. A Visitor

Asher’s POV:

The cold bath did nothing to calm me down as I had been hoping and it pissed me off to no end. I couldn't understand the urge that had taken over me and no matter how much control I tried to have, nothing seemed to be working. I slipped on the pair of pajama bottoms that I had taken with me into the bathroom before strolling into the room. The empty bed that greeted me made a pang settle in my chest. I moved towards the bed and the small stain of blood that occupied the center of the bed made the regret that had started forming in my chest grew even larger and I moved out of the room. Elysia was nowhere to be found like I had expected but when I pricked my ears I could hear the muffled cry coming from within her room.

A part of me wanted to check up on her, make sure she was alright but no one had asked her to leave the room in the first place and with that thought I moved towards the laundry room to pick up a fresh set of sheets. Suddenly I felt exhausted, the pain from
