5. Scarlet Room

Elysia’s POV:

The next time I opened my eyes, I could still hear and feel the truck in motion. There were now soft whispers around me and although we were still bath in darkness, it felt a little easier to see. A sign that it was probably brighter outside now.

“Are you awake?” I heard a soft whisper beside me and it forced me to pull myself into a sitting position. I winced as my muscles screamed from the sudden movement.

“Yeah,” I responded, trying to focus so I could get the features of the girl beside me.

“I’m Seraphina. What’s your name?”

“Elysia.” Came my response and she hummed in acknowledgment but remained silent. It felt like hours passed between us but it couldn’t have been more than a couple minutes when I spoke again.

“A-are y-ou a white o-omega wolf?” I asked the question that had been on my mind since the moment I had entered the truck to meet all the girls.

“We all are.” Came her response and my heart broke a little more. This could not mean anything good.

“Do you know where we’re headed?” I asked once more and she let out a chuckle that sounded bitter which was surprising coming from her since I was used to the softness of her voice.

“The Red Fang Pack.” She revealed and I could have sworn that I died at the information.

That was the Alpha King’s pack.

“Don’t ask me why because I don’t know myself.”

I didn’t need to ask why. I could already tell that I was headed straight for my doom. I was about to say something else but the truck suddenly came to a stop, jerking as we were thrown forward. The trunk was suddenly silent and I could smell the fear of the girls around me. The trunk was pulled open and I hissed as the light that flooded the space blinded me for a second.

“Get out and form a straight line on the side. No funny business.” The man who opened the trunk called and when I looked at his face, I felt a shiver run through my side.

He had a scar running down the middle of his face, almost like whoever had done it, had the intention to split his face in half. The scar was nasty-looking and was enough to instill fear within me. I got out of the trunk and moved to the side where the girls had begun lining up. I had just heard the trunk of the car close when I heard a commotion behind me.

A girl was trying to run away.

She didn’t get very far because Scarface was right on her heels and the moment he caught her, he wrapped his hands around her throat, shaking her violently and for a moment I feared he was going to kill her.

“How stupid do you lot get? You don’t even know where you are! Where do you think you’re going to go?” He screamed in her face and I felt pity for her as she cried and struggled against him.

“Weak pieces of shit. I was willing to play nice for a while, now you go and piss me off! Tie their hands and blindfold them. Since they can’t be trusted, we’ll treat them like criminals until we’re sure they’ll behave.” He instructed the men who had surrounded us the moment we began filing out of the truck to do as told.

They were very rough with us but I didn’t even try to struggle against the man when he approached me. I would rather not get into their bad books so early on, especially as they all looked so scary.

Finally, they began leading us through and the only thing I could hear was the sound of the other girl's feet as they shuffled behind me, the angry huff from the men leading us, and on occasion a hit to the girls when they walked too slow.

After a couple of different turns and twists, we finally came to a halt and I heard a knock on the door. I heard the door being pulled open and without any exchange of words I was pulled into a room and my blindfold was pulled off.

I looked around the scarlet room in dismay. There had been a total of five girls in the trunk with me but now before me were hundreds of girls scattered around the room.

There was no way this could mean anything good.
