Chapter Forty Five - Comforting Marcus

Cassie cringed as soon as the words left his lips. She trailed after him and saw him seated on the floor in the living room with a hand fisted in his hair. Her eyes were filled with pity as she crouched down next to him, observing how hard he tried to hold back the tears from her. She was ready to do anything to numb his pain and self loathing.
