Mara’s POV

“I knew what I saw there and it was no adrenaline.I am telling you this because it would pose a threat to you. Do not tell a soul about what happened in there” Rhys said emphatically and I fought the urge to spit on his face.

He made me so mad sometimes and I couldn’t do anything about it.

“What if I did? In fact all of the warriors already saw me. What are you going to do about them?” I asked him challengingly.

“You wouldn’t do it. Who would you even tell in the first place?” He joked, referencing my lack of friends.

“Don’t dare me” I warned him, poking my fingers repeatedly against his chest.

He released his grip on me and I was back on the ground again. I readjusted my rumpled shirt.

“Sorry for hassling you,” He said, looking sympathetically at me. “Anyways, I know a mind linking spell, erasing their memory of what they had witnessed will not be a problem at all” he mumbled.

“So what are you insisting on?” I asked, softening now that he had apologized.
