MIA'S POV

"Davon, please, can you hear me? Come back! Please don't leave me! Come back to me, please!" My mind bleeds with shouting. Davon could hear my thoughts, but I couldn't listen to him, and it was frustrating.

Riding on my bike, I drove fast to catch him by the cove, the last place exiting our town, and stopped to look around. I checked on the tracks but couldn't determine if it was Davon.

"Damn it! He got his phone!" I suddenly remembered to call him, "Oh, God, Davon! Where are you?"

"At the bay walk."

"Bay walk? Why didn't you leave?"

"I couldn't leave you, Mia. We could figure this out together."

"Just hang in there. I'm on my way!"

If I could fly, I would get to Davon instantly. My feet feel light, and I am pedaling fast. Ignoring the exhaustion and the pain in my mid-calf.

Davon sat at the bay walk, staring afar, parching at the sun. My heart leaps out with joy seeing him. He already knew I was approaching and stood facing me.

"Davon!" I jumped off my bike and ran
