Chapter 25

Emily's POV

I felt my heart fly to my throat as Eric's grip tightened around my waist.

My hands pressed against his chest to shove him away, but his hold was firm. He buried his head in my neck as he hugged me with a fierce passion like never before.

"Let me go, Eric!", I exclaimed, but he just nozzled his neck on my neck more, bending over.

"Emily, I'm sorry. I was crazy to have treated you like trash in the past, when you truly were the only one who really loved me or saw the real me", he whispered passionately, staring into my eyes with an intense gaze.

I was held spellbound by his stare as he continued to speak.

"Before my grandfather asked me to get married to you in his will, I had always admired you even though you never said anything to me because you couldn't, your eyes spoke to me more than your mouth could. I saw the care and love you had for me. I saw how you always looked out for me. You never let me out of your sight. You could not bear to see me hurt or in pain."
