CH 37: A Trap

Lizzy’s POV

“I-I never come to tea parties. I am afraid of embarrassing you there. Sorry, Mom. Thanks for inviting me.”

“You don’t have to worry. It’s just a tea and cakes party. We’re all big fans of cakes and tea. We usually sit around an enormous table and talk about many things. And usually we create a lot of ideas about life there. Come along. I’ll take care of you,” she replied.

To come or not to come? What should I choose? I didn’t know any of them and I felt insecure about coming from a different family background, even though I had become Jason’s legal wife. It just all still felt strange to me.

“Lizzy, are you still there? What’s your decision? I guarantee you’ll like the party because all my friends are fun and they come from rich and famous families. If you have a good relationship with them, you can use that relationship someday when you’re in trouble. Come with me once in a while so you don’t get bored. I’ll ask Jason to pick you up,” she coaxed.
