THIRTY EIGHT

LIAM’S POV:

I left Mia’s house in despair as I wandered around her house waiting to see if she might change her mind and call me back. But unfortunately, she didn't.

After hanging around, I decided to leave for good because I was tired of always being the one chasing after the women in my life.

I opened my car and was about to leave when someone called my name from behind.

I looked back immediately with a hopeful glint in my eyes as I expected to see Mia when I turned but was slightly disappointed when I saw her mother standing behind me.

“Liam, what are you doing here?” she asked while approaching.

“I came to see Mia” I replied a bit unsure if I should tell her about yesterday's and today's occurrence between us.

“Have you seen her yet?” she asked as she finally got to me.

“Yes,” I replied nervously.

“Have you settled things with her?” she queried.

“Not exactly,” I answered nervously.

“Liam, you can tell me what's wrong so that I will know if I can help you convince her to forgive y
