THIRTY SIX

MIA’S POV:

I stared wide-eyed at the shivering person lying beside my doorstep.

I couldn't believe my eyes as I walked a step closer to the person. My eyes widened when I realized that the person I saw wasn't just my imagination.

It was an unconscious Liam, shivering nonstop as he cuddled his wet body.

“Liam?” I called out still unsure of what to say.

He didn't reply instead he continued shivering heavily.

It looked like he was caught in the storm last night. But didn't he leave before the storm because I heard the sound of his car driving off?

“Oh God Liam” I called as I rushed to him. I shook him many times but he wasn't responding.

I knew I had to do something because I couldn't just leave him like this on my doorstep even though he had badly hurt me. Besides, he was starting to draw attention from the neighbors.

I took off my coat leaving me in only my singlet as I draped the coat around his cold shoulders.

I tried getting him up on his feet, but he wouldn't budge.
