Chapter Eleven

Ice’s POV.

If looks can kill, then I no longer have to complete my Impossible Mission because Master Athan would have done it already.

“Athan! Are you looking for me?” Hunter asks while giving him a bro fist, one that Master Athan bumped a little too harshly with a grunt.

“I just wanted to see if the party extended here.” He fakes a chuckle.

“Ice, this is Athan. He has a very good reputation, have you heard of him?

“No,” I lie easily. “Why?”

“Well, he will be teaching here.”

What? I look at Master Athan with wide eyes, “You’re a teacher here?”

“Will be.” He nods. Again, what?

My eyes match Master Athan’s when Hunter turns to me, “How is your wolf after your mate rejected you?”

“She refuses to come out after being traumatized. Now I can’t shift properly.” I tell him honestly while giving a side eye to Master Athan. The nightfall puts a sombre Prussian blue shadow in the hollows of his eyes.

Hunter gives me a look of pity. He places a hand on my shoulder, “Don’t worry, I’m sure Athan
