Chapter Fifteen

Athan’s POV.

My heart almost gave out when Ice’s eyes rolled to the back of her head with knees buckled. I caught her immediately but at the same time, images I refuse to go back to flashed in my mind. The last time someone fell unconscious on my arms still haunts me to this day. After all, it was Isabella’s cold and lifeless frame. I feel my wolf stir inside of me, anxious.

I have been watching over Ice since she lost consciousness earlier. I have to leave for a few hours, however, to get her things and for me to inform Hunter about my absence to take care of my student.

I see the worried look in his eyes, and that just pisses me off. I ask him not to tell his sister with the disguise of not wanting to worry her. But the truth is that I have noticed my little girl distancing herself from the siblings since the incident back in the pyramids. Honestly I don't want Ice to get too close to them.
