Chapter Seventeen

Athan’s POV.

Something is wrong. When my senses intensified with panic eating me up while I was teaching a group of students earlier, even without having my wolf telling me, I know deep in my bones that something is definitely wrong.

Without waiting for another second, I dismissed the students and walk towards Freya. “Where is Ice?”

She blinks before looking around if anyone can hear us. When the coast is clear, she says with a sarcastic tone, “I don’t know, Master. I’m here training, as you can see.”

Her oblivious to the scenario makes me irk. “Freya, you have one job.”

She crosses her arms. “And being inconspicuous is part of it.” Noticing my unfazed expression, her face softens and ask, “Is she okay? Do you want me to check up on her?”

“Now. Check up on her, now.” My wolf growls at me. I shake my head to her and let her go back with her training before rushing back to the palace to check on Ice. Why would she feel such an awful emotion?
