“Why did you do it?” I ask Tamara again. “I told you; he has my sister. He was blackmailing me to do his bidding,” Tamara says. “Why didn’t you come to the Alpha or me for help?” I ask. “He has eyes everywhere. He said he would know if I went to you for help,” she replies exhaustedly.

“It was why I tried to put myself around you all so much. It is why I tried to cause Elizabeth to doubt herself,” she says as tears rose in her eyes. “I just need to get my sister back,” she says. “She is only sixteen. Goddess knows what he has done to her,” she adds.

“What do you know about rogue bites?” I ask her to change the subject. She had been repeating the same, consistent answers for the past hour. “Someone was bit? Take me to them, I can help,” she says quickly standing in front of me. “They were bit a couple days ago. They have received an antidote, but are not responding well,” I offer to her.
