Chapter 26.

Rosa POV.

The screaming grows louder as I move through the packhouse in one direction. Jadara and Cece both whimper.

“What is it?” I ask when Jadara sighs in my head.

“Those are the screams of the pain of betrayal. I’m sorry Rosa.” She says when it dawns on me. I reach for the door and burst through it and whimper, seeing my little brother curled up on his bed clutching his chest with tears streaming down his face.

“Skoll! It’s ok, I’m here. Let me help you.” I move to him and clutch him to me and purr as Jadara comes forward, her anger hot at what she is seeing.

“Make it stop.” He splutters out as he sobs. His claws have erupted and be tries to claw at his chest. I pin his hands and he snarls at me. Tears leave my eyes at seeing my baby brother in so much pain.

“Sleep, Skoll. It will stop soon.” Jadara speaks through me as her emotions bleed into me. He collapses on the bed and I stand, pulling the quilt up over him.
