Opal's POV
Lil took the lead as we exited the basement. She peeked out the side windows to make sure Susi had indeed left us alone. After confirming Su left, she ushered me to follow her out the front door. My heart was hammering in my chest, trying to break out. I didn't know if it was fear or the thrill of fear. One thing we knew, and that was Susi, was hiding something from us.
Lil stopped and turned to face me; her face posed in a half-smile. "Maybe we should check the house first? What if she has dungeons?"
Surprised that we hadn't thought of that first, I motioned to the wilderness that lay before us. "Good point! Let's hurry up out here and head back in. I'm getting shivers already."
"Me too..." she giggled as we both rubbed our arms.

Happy Halloween everyone! I know every culture celebrates holidays differently but what is your favorite thing about the "spooky" day!? I enjoy the scary movies and shows that play during this time. I am SUPER excited and LOVE the new Chucky series too! I'm hoping for a crossover with the two different Chuckys. My kids love dressing up each year and will walk until their buckets are full of candy. Yes, there is some whining as we get close to ending the night but eating their candy makes things worth it! This year my 7 month old will be dressed as a baby lamb, kinda like Lamby from Doc McStuffins. My Almost 3yo will be dressed as a Dalmation. And my 6yo will be dressed as a Black n Silver Ninja. (He says it's Scorpion)
