Chapter 71 - Spies

Lance POV

The events from yesterday play back in my mind. We have never discussed how we were going to help. If I have my way, Trinity will stay here in her old bedroom while I handle everything. I’m still not happy my father asked her to do this. Yes, there are many options we can pick from, but we are trying to keep my mate safe, and parading her around in front of everyone isn’t my way of keeping her safe. The only reason I have eventually agreed to my father’s request is because he has promised to do anything and everything to keep Trinity safe.

With an uneasy heart, I stare down at my beautiful sleeping mate. Her long blonde hair spreads across the pillow, while her luscious pink lips beg me to kiss her.

Out of the corner of my eye, I spot a plushy wolf on the nightstand. My eyes drift up to the collage of pictures on a bulletin board above the nightstand, which all seem to stare at me. Maybe she is right. This isn’t the place to do much.
