Chapter 23:

Cole:

We were losing people on both ends, witches and wolves were dying. The dark witch is too powerful and the monster heals very quickly. Cinnamon infiltrates my nose and then I turn my head as I see Emma jumping in the middle of the witches. All the magic hit her and I feel so dizzy as if I am going to die. We all start howling as does the black monster.

I run towards her but I am shoved back by some form of magic and change back to my human form. My wolf enraged that he can’t get to Emma and keeps growling at anyone else that comes close.

I shake my head as everyone has come to a standstill as the smoke clears from the area. There is a silver and red shield over both the girls and I can barely see them. I hear a scream and turn to see that uncle Aiden had taken a piece of flesh out of the dark witch. She then vanishes and appears next to the monster and they both disappear.

Skye shifts next to me “What the fuck just happened?” he ask
