Waking up, I rolled over not feeling anything on the bed. Taking a deep breath, I know that I am all alone. I lie on my back, taking in the time I have to myself. Staring at the ceiling, I heard the door open. Popping my head up, I saw a woman in a maids uniform come in.

“Morning ma'am.” She smiles, walking in with a try of food. “Here is your breakfast.” She sets it on the bed over my lap.

“Thank you...” I said, confused.

“Oh, forgive me.” She laughs lightly. “My name is Mary. I'll be assisting you while your husband is out of town.”

“Out of town?”

“Yes. He called and said he had an urgent matter to be dealt with and had me come over.”
