Chapter 123

Lexis's p.o.v

"So your name is Lexi?" The man called August asked.

I sat on the bed and glared at him.

Why was he still in my bedroom?.

Yes Whitney had told him to guard me but she didn't ask him to stay in the same room. He could have stayed outside and away from my sight.

"You are pretty." He said softly then smiled and gazed to the floor, his foot moving from left to right.

I couldn't understand his actions so I quietly kept watching him.

When a few minutes went by, he looked up and met my eyes.

"You know, you look different from the first time I saw you." He said then frowned when a loud cry came from outside.

He quickly rushed out of the room without a word as I sighed in relief.

I was uncomfortable around men. The only exceptions were Leomord and the twins.

I threw myself on the bed and raised my hand looking at my fingers sadly.

I really missed them a lot and I kind of felt lonely. I didn't want to cry so I was going to stay strong.

It was them that didn't come to see me off.
