Ryan's p.o.v

A few minutes went by with us calming her down. The guy who was with her was quietly watching us carefully and with caution.

"Do you now feel better?" Evan asked softly after she had pulled back.

"Yes." She answered in a cracked voice.

"That's good." He whispered then wiped off her tears.

I looked at the guy coldly then patted her shoulder lightly.

"Who is he?" I asked coldly.

I saw how the fucker was looking at her all this time. He even tried risking his life by protecting her. I couldn't forget how he pushed her behind him and called out her name.

"He is August, Whitney's friend." She answered.

I smirked then grabbed her hand.

"We should formally introduce ourselves brother, don't you think?" I asked Evan knowing fully well how he must have noticed his eyes on her as well.

"Of course." He answered.

I glanced at Lexi then smiled softly.

"Come along mate." I whispered then walked to where the guy was.

He stood in a fighting stance and his expression was cold and deadly.
