Mika's POV:

We stood at the side of the bed in a ward, looking at our little warrior as she lay sleeping peacefully. A drip was on her wrist, and her breathing was stable.

"She will be fine," the Luna said softly and then walked out of the room

I looked around carefully to see if they had any cameras installed. Once I was sure they didn't, I looked at Bevin.

"Was it wise to tell them the partial truth, Xiao?" I asked seriously.

"Yes, it was because the Alpha could have easily ordered my wolf to submit to him and tell them everything, yet he didn't. That goes to show how kind and understanding he is. Also, if we didn't take their offer, who knows what could have happened to us? We could have been dead, or my baby girl would have lost her life," he answered.

"And one more thing, don't call me Xiao here, but Bevin," he said as I frowned, then nodded.

I didn't like that he had told them the most, but we still needed a place to rest and some food before deciding on our next move.

I
