Debby's POV:

I sighed for the second time while stirring the soup in the pot.

I had been given money by Damon, yet I had no idea how to use it. By now, I was supposed to find someone who would help me deliver and, at the same time, find something for myself to do.

My main fear was how people would react in the delivery room if, by chance, my wolf pulled through. They would run out in fear.

I couldn't go back to Damon's pack or Johnson's, and I knew no one here who would help me.

"I don't know what to do," I whispered to myself, then turned off the stove and walked out of the house, deep in thought, to get some fresh air.

"Good to see you here," Jay's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

I frowned as I looked around in shock.

I had no idea how I found myself where he was when all I wanted was to think things through alone and get some fresh air.
