Book 4: Chapter 45-Bitter

Jade sighed as she looked around their family’s former home. The surroundings have changed a lot. Then, a bitter smile appeared on her lips when she could no longer see the small hut. Her father’s second family really changed everything in their house.

She could be bitter, but she couldn’t stop herself from being envious and jealous now. Her mother is fine, she has moved on from the destruction of their family. But about her? She thought she had moved on. But the pain returned now that she was in front of her former residence. Even her mother’s garden had been changed by her father’s new wife. She seemed to want to repent and even thought of visiting her father.

“Jade?”

Jade blinked when she saw the old woman come out of the house.

“Jade, it’s you!” Nora approached Jade with a sigh.

Jade burst into tears when she met the lady. She thought that there were no memories left in that house. She didn’t think her former nanny was still working there.
