CHAPTER TWELVE

It took me a good few seconds to find my words. The mother of Eric’s child was standing right before me!

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I said, trying to act oblivious.

“Oh please, let’s not play dumb.” She scoffed. “Eric couldn’t find some model or a grown up to fuck?”

Her harsh words made my ears tingled.

“Excuse me, I have to leave.” I muttered and hurried to the driver seat door.

“Do me a favor, when he’s fucking you tonight, moan that you saw Dana Gilbert, the love of his life and the mother of his only child.”

She said and then cat walked away in her red bottom heels.

I was left speechless.

I sat in my bedroom, in a state of many emotions but regret topped it all. Eric never spoke of Isabel’s mother and I hadn’t really thought about her but meeting her unlocked so many deep thoughts.
