CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Eric and I stared at each other probably thinking the same thing; why was Dana at his door?

“Stay here.” He ordered me and rushed away but after contemplating for a moment, I followed him. I needed to know why she was here.

“Oh there she is—

Dana Gilbert clapped as I stepped into the lounge. She was at the door and Eric was obstructing her from coming in while Greta stood at a corner watching.

“I thought I told you to stay back.” He scowled at me.

“Seems she’s not a lap dog like the others.” Dana laughed. “Quite the silver fox you’ve turned into, fucking little girls and—

“What are you doing here?” He interrupted.

“I came to see my daughter.” She shrugged, like it was a casual thing for her to stop by and see the girl she abandoned for years.

“What daughter? My daughter?”

“Our daughter!” She snapped at Eric.

“You’re not my mom.” Someone said suddenly and we all turned to see Isabel.

“Isabel, my darling..” Dana clutched her invisible pearls and pushed Er
