A few days later, on a beautiful Monday morning, exactly one week after my father's funeral and the start of my one-week leave from work, I awoke feeling both anxious and relieved at the same time. I immediately got out of bed, went to the bathroom, took a shower, and then got dressed in a finely pressed grey suit, white trouser, and grey pant.

I put on some quality deodorant, left my room, and went to the living room to meet my mother.

"Dear Mommy: Greetings, Mom, and I hope you had a restful night "I remarked as I approached her and gave her a cheek kiss.

She gave a small smile and replied, "My night was okay, I guess."

I embraced her and said, "Wow that's fantastic to hear mom, I will be returning to work today since my one week break is done and my presence is greatly needed at the workplace."
