Chapter 21

Maya's POV

To say I was placed between a rock and a hard place was an understatement.

I wasn't sure whether to be upset or flattered that two of the most popular guys in school were fighting over me, practically dragging my hands and putting me in a horrible spot to choose between them and who I'd go with.

Daniel was the obvious choice especially after all he'd done to help me get over Micah but for some reason Micah's boldness and assertiveness made me second guess myself.

Why had he even come to the table in the first place? What was his motive? To humiliate me further? I wouldn't be surprised especially after all he'd done.

I glanced at Daniel and he was glaring at Micah with so much disdain and hate in his eyes , it felt almost tangible. I took a peak at Micah despite my mind telling me not to and he had a self assured smile plastered on his face, his eyes trained at Daniel. It was almost as if he thought I'd choose him over Daniel with the way he was looking at him.
