Chapter Thirty Nine

Amalia figured she ought to say something after Rohan's confession but even as she opened her mouth, words refused to come forth. He'd left her speechless because she'd not expected him to say that or every other thing he'd said.

"You don't have to say anything." He smiled at her. "I just wanted you to know." He turned away and walked back to the bassinets. "Just think about what I said, okay?"

"Sure. Thank you." She said.

"It's my pleasure." He replied. "Have you thought of names for them?"

"Yes. Leila and Deondre." She replied.

"Nice names." He grinned.

Amalia watched him as he talked to the babies like they could understand him and she smiled. She didn't know what to call this exactly; whether luck or fate or even coincidence? All she knew was that she'd been wanting to say more than hi or good morning to this man for the past six months but she'd always chickened out.
