Rachel’s POV

David and I were on our way to school the next day.

“You have been acting strangely the past few days. What's wrong with you?” He asked, breaking the comfortable silence.

No, I am fine. How strangely have I been acting?” I asked and looked at him.

“I don’t know; we haven’t talked for a while, and you are always quiet now, but other days your mouth runs like a tap.” He blurted and laughed a little.

“What?” I laughed. No, for real, I am okay.

He told me about Laura’s visit yesterday and said he didn’t notice or doubt that she would do such a thing and that Laura wouldn’t stoop so low to do it.

I had to agree because that’s his girlfriend anyway, so I shouldn’t have those thoughts of her being among Travis.

We got to school after the long drive, and the way David stared at me made me wonder if this guy was a playboy maybe before Laura changed his life or whatever.
