Chapter 42

"I had an idea yesterday, but it was ruined because of you," Fiona said in an accusing voice and caressed the chest of her husband who was lying on the bed with his shirt unbuttoned.

"Oh wow, what did I do to ruin your idea? And what idea could that be if I may ask?" Charles responded and put his hand on the lap of his wife who was seated on the bed.

"Well, after your time out jogging yesterday, I thought of exploring this house with you. You know your father never allowed me entry on countless occasions, but now that we are legally married, and I live here now, I thought this would be the perfect time to get to know the four corners of this huge mansion." She revealed. "But you suddenly left for your friend's house and on your return, you were mad and virtually said nothing to me till this morning," she added.

"Aww, I'm sorry honey. Please forgive me," he apologized and kissed her on the thigh.

"Why were you so mad last night? What happened at your friend's end?" She queried.

"Oh,
