Weruche didn't dare to look up, but she could feel him so close to her. His voice was silky when he spoke, but he did nothing to veil the threat in it. ''I think we both know I can make you do anything I want little Weruche,'' he whispered into her ear. ''And it has nothing to do with the police.''

Weruche drew a shaky breath. ''Is that why you brought me here? To intimidate me? Because believe me, I didn't have to be in this impressive building, or get flown in a private jet for the first time in my life, or chauffeur driven in a limo. I didn't need new clothes or a nice hairstyle -''
