Chapter 026

Christina’s POV

I stepped out of the bathroom to see him standing in the middle of the room, with a bottle of water in his hand. I didn’t have to ask to know what it was_my medications.

I walked to the sofa and gently placed my dress on it before moving to him to take them. He motioned to me to open up as he popped a pill into my mouth and gave me water to drink. Thereafter, he led me to the desk where the first aid box was sitting and pulled out the chair for me.

I watched him bring out all of the things he’d need to dress my wound but when he tilted my head to begin, I touched his arm, meaning to stop him. His questioning gaze landed on mine.

“You don’t… you don’t have to, I can do it myself,”

“I want to,”

I dropped my arm to let him continue. He was gentle just like the first time, and held me still so I wouldn’t move to disrupt him as he took off the plaster and began cleaning it. The way he was so gentle with it made me reflect on how different he’s been in the past few days and
