I had my suspicions for a while but now, I was certain that Abby wanted more from me; something I couldn’t give her.

The smart decision was to end things as they were, but I was selfish and she was a coward. I’d told her I didn’t own her, but I truthfully couldn’t see myself being with her with the knowledge that other men were also allowed to touch her as I did.

We fucked raw for fuck’s sake. Didn’t that automatically translate to exclusivity? I didn’t have the time to even meet other women. Hell, I wasn’t interested in other women, but she didn’t need to know that.

She also didn’t need to know that before leaving for this trip, I told Christine it was time for a divorce. I didn’t know why she was reluctant about signing the papers, but she was and I was glad that I’d planned this trip and would be away from her for a while. We could talk about it when I was back.
