Chapter 48

Zora’s point of view

I finished with the work I was doing and headed to the coffee store where I’d meet Derrick.

He hadn't arrived yet so I sat and waited for him. So many people were in the store today.

Twenty minutes before he arrived, he walked to where I sat.

I gulped as we were closer. I just hope this walks out though.

I wasn’t so comfortable as there were lots of people here, I don't know if I'd be free to tell him what I want to say.

“Can we like to go somewhere else?” He asked, I guess he wasn’t comfortable, and I think they were celebrating something there today which must be the reason for the crowd.

We both walked outside.

“Is it okay if I come over to your house, so we can talk?” I don’t know if that sounded awkward.

“My house?” He looked surprised. “Of course, we can go.” He finally answered.

“Alright you’ll head out and I’ll join you.” I smiled and nodded once and walked into my car and went into his. He drove away and I followed behind.
