Chapter 53. Feeling Jealous

Temisa goes out of Anita's office, and Anita sighs. Just then, Anita's office phone rings, and she immediately answers, "Hello, boss."

"See me in my office right away," Liam says, cutting the call short as he realizes he's nervously fidgeting with his necktie and gradually losing his composure.

Liam sits up in his office chair, waiting for Anita to enter. Then he hears her knock and responds, "Come in."

Anita walks into Liam's office after pushing the door open.

She forgets to clean her mouth after rapidly eating a spoonful of the food Temisa brought for her.

She approaches Liam, who is sitting, and stands in front of him.

"You sent for me, boss," Anita adds, unable to look up at Liam's face.

"Yes, I did," Liam says, clearing his throat. "It has come to my attention that you have provided some of our best clients with your phone number. Why?"

Anita drops her jaw and stares at Liam.

"Nothing, sir." Words refuse to escape her lips, and she gulps and looks downward.
