Chapter six

Trevor’s pov

The days seemed to be going by in a blur; two months had rushed by so fast I couldn’t believe it was my birthday tomorrow.

“We’ll be able to sense our mate” Drew howled in happiness, making me chuckle, “yes the fuck we will” I said packing my bag.

The last bell of the day rang, signalling the end of the school week and I was more than happy to get home.

My mom was throwing me a party and everyone who was of age was invited, she even went to the trouble of inviting girls from neighbouring packs, in hopes of me finding my mate.

I was excited about having a bigger chance of getting a mate but I was really excited about seeing my aunt Taylor. I hadn’t seen her all year and she was coming today for my birthday, said she wouldn’t miss it for the world, she got an early flight so she should be here by now and the sooner I got home, the sooner we could hit the training grounds and I could show her how strong I’d gotten.

She is a siren Alpha, the strongest of her kind and the strongest supernatural there was, sirens were built different, they were the strongest, fastest and were immune to magic.

Sometimes I wonder what the goddess was thinking when creating such strong creatures, they could level the planet without thinking about it too much, that’s how strong they were.

It was a good thing they hardly ever left the sea side and were very nice creatures, contrary to popular belief.

I rushed out of class, making my way to my locker, I had to drop off and pick up some books for my assignments, which I probably should start and finish tonight because there’s going to be too much going on.

I got what I needed from my locker and hurried for the school exit, “I call dibs on training with Taylor!” Mia ran past me and dashed through the exit, “no! She’s here for me so I get her first!” I called after her, running through the doors after her, damn this girl.

She was speeding out of the parking lot when I got to my car, cursing, I sped out of the school, hoping for a miracle because at this rate, she was going to win.

Since we were both speeding, it didn’t take us long to reach pack grounds, she parked in front of the garage, not even bothering to pack her car inside before she jumped out and raced for the house.

“Fuck!” I cursed, parking my car behind hers and running after her, I heard cheering as I neared the entrance and stopped running, knowing she had won.

I entered the house to see her dancing her way up the stairs and laughter coming from the living room. Turning toward the laugher, I saw Aunt Taylor sitting next to my mom and Uncle Mika sitting on the chair opposite them shaking his head, “she sure is head strong” Aunt Taylor laughed, probably talking about Mia.

“Aunt Taylor” I said when I got closer to them and she turned her head to look at me, huge smile marring her flawless face, “Trevor, my boy!” she exclaimed getting up from the chair and coming to hug me.

“Look at you, all grown up and taller than me” she said reaching her hand up to ruffle my hair, like she always did. “And I’m well behaved, I pass really well, I’m good looking and I got a lot stronger since the last time you saw me, plus it is my birthday after all” I said, hoping to persuade her into hitting the gym with me first instead if Mia.

She laughed at my poor attempt at persuading her, “Mia got here first, she won fair and square” she said shaking her head, “did I mention that I’m good looking?” I asked, acting like I didn’t hear what she just said.

She laughed again, pulling me in for another hug, “I missed you so much” she said after breaking the hug and taking my face into her hands, “I missed you too Aunt Taylor” I said smiling at her.

We sat down and caught up, telling her everything that has been happening, how much I’ve improved and all I’ve learned from my dad about being a good Alpha and I was glad to know that she was proud of me.

“So, are you excited about finding your mate?” she asked with a bright smile, I just shrugged, trying hard to hide just how excited I was, “I was hoping it would be little Britney” she said turning to my mother.

“He’s very protective of her, I too thought she would be his mate but boy was I wrong” my mom said with a chuckle.

“I saw him with Mia the other day and I have to say, they have great chemistry” Vanessa said walking into the room with a tray. Rolling my eyes, I grabbed a glass of juice from the trey and sat back in my chair, “they sure did hit it off as kids” Aunt Taylor saying wiggling her eye brows at me, “I’m going to change into my training gear” I said downing the juice and leaving them to their silly talk.

They laughed as I left, making me groan, they were way too interested in my love life.

“Oh, hey loser” Mia said coming down the stairs, ready to hit the gym with Aunt Taylor, I growled lowly as I saw the smirk on her face, “I won fair and square Alpha, don’t be such a sore loser” she said coming to a stop right in front of me, goddess she irritated me so much right now.

“You two do realise that your cars are in the way right?” came Britney’s voice from behind me, “I’ll park mine in the garage after my session with Taylor” Mia said smirking at me.

“No way, you won?” that was Cole asking, “yes sir I did” Mia gloated, with a huff, I moved around her and climbing the stairs two at a time so I could get away faster, talk about ruining my perfectly planned day.

I made it to my room successfully without putting my fists through the wall, my wolf and I weren’t happy about Mia getting our training time with Aunt Taylor, Drew loved showing Aunt Taylor just how strong he’d gotten every time  she came around, he and her siren had bonded at a very young age so he loved her very much.

Having Mia take her attention from us irked him to no end but he had to suck it up, there was nothing either of us could do about it.

I threw my bag on my bed and changed into shorts and a tank top, pairing the gym clothes with some running shoes, I went back down stairs to find that everyone wasn’t there, they must have gone to the gym already.

I quickly made my way there to find that Mia and Aunt Taylor were already at it, “that could have been us if weren’t so absorbed in your thoughts” Drew huffed, pacing back and forth and I was shocked that he was blaming me, “how the hell am I to blame for all this?” I asked, watching Mia deliver a kick that Aunt Taylor easily blocked.

“Damn, girl, you’ve got some power behind your hits” she complimented, making Mia beam at her, “you would have sensed she was coming if you weren’t so concerned about getting here than actually getting here” he said, making me roll my eyes, “whatever” I said watching as the two exchanged blows, Aunt Taylor obviously holding back.

I was just sitting on the bench next to Cole and Britney when the two finally decided to stop, Mia was breathing heavily as she collapsed on the padded floor, “that was amazing” she heaved with a smile on her face.

“It sure was and you’re a lot stronger than I remember, you’re going to make one hell of a gamma Mia, I’m proud of you” Aunt Taylor said offering a hand to Mia, who was trying to get her breathing under control while Aunt Taylor looked like she hadn’t even started.

“Thank you” Mia said taking the hand and standing to her feet, "good job honey” Uncle Mika said handing her a water bottle, which she took and came to sit on the bench.

“Was all of this trouble of out racing Trevor just to get your ass handed to you worth it” Wade asked Mia, who gave him a wide grin, “totally” she said taking a sip from her bottle, “I will never understand you two” Britney said referring to me and Mia, “there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being driven” I said in defence and got up when Aunt Taylor signalled me forward.
