Trevor‟s pov

“That has to be the craziest thing you‟ve ever said” Britney said after listening to Mia‟s idea

and as much as I love my mate, I had to side with Brit.

“A fire of that magnitude can cause more harm than good” Cole said backing his mate up.

“I know how dangerous it could get but it won‟t” she said, making our friends shake their

heads.

“Baby, as effective as that would be against those things, I have to stand with Britney and Cole” I said, a part of me feeling like I had betrayed her or something.

The mate bond could be shitty sometimes.

“So what? We just wait to get picked off one by one? We‟re losing here!” she said, the frustration in her voice hitting a little too deep.

We were all frustrated about the war but it was different with Mia. She blamed herself for every fallen warrior and their mate if they didn‟t survive the loss of their mate. Those that did survive it were shells of themselves, left to raise their children alone and it was tearing her apart.
