Chapter seventy two

Trevor's pov

My hands fisted as blood rained over us, killing the flames slowly, our efforts dying right before our eyes.

"We got as many as we could, now let's get the others!" Drew growled in my head and my teeth clench.

"She sure is going the extra mile tonight, she usually leaves when she notices some resistance" Wade said, bringing light to an issue I hadn't even realised.

"You don't think she's making her final stance, do you?" Britney asked, making Wade shrug but I think we all knew she was.

"What happened to waiting for the full moon?" Uncle Mika grumbled, watching the witch with so much disdain.

"Maybe she figured out we'd all be stronger on a full moon" mom said with a sigh. She seemed so tired and frail but I knew better than to believe that. She was only saddened by the unnecessary deaths of so many wolves, she wasn't any weaker.
