After a heavy discussion with his mom, Shane still had to attend Harrison's birthday celebration. If Lucy had stopped pestering him on the phone when he answered her call the moment he decided to ditch the party, he should have been drowning in liquors again. On the other hand, going to a reception means drinking and having fun.
