Ava frowned and leaned back on the bed with a disappointed sigh. He had indeed left her wanting and needy. Her body was heated and pulsing from where he had touched her. She groaned and rolled over on the bed curling up in a fetal position. She wanted his touch but she wanted to keep Kane next to her. She frowned wondering what in the hell was  so wrong with that. She sighed and pushed herself up into a sitting position. She went to the bathroom and turned on the hot water letting it warm up. She turned to face her reflection and frowned. She still didn’t know how she had ended up in a situation like this and she had no excuses for her behavior. Instead, she had been excited about the prospect of doing something so interesting when it had been proposed to her and now she was going to be taking over the operations of The Island.
