Chapter Forty-three

Margo stared out at the green grass that had started to turn brown from her position on the ground. She looked  up at the sky and sighed. The bright Texas sky stretched out above her as white puffy clouds dotted the bright expanse. She tilted her head back and sighed as the sun's rays washed over her. This was one of the last days that they would get to enjoy for a while. 

“You okay?” Kane  asked, coming to sit next to her on the ground. 

“Yeah… It’s  just that this will be one of the last days that we have any peace and quiet until this is all over.” Margo whispered. “I just want to enjoy it before everything happens. I don’t normally get to take the time to do this…” 

“Maybe we should go out tonight.” He whisper
