“What? Alright, I’ll be there right away!” Evander, who had just taken the call, turned pale. He quickly contacted the secretary who had taken over for Belinda.

“Cancel all my appointments for today!” Evander ordered.

“But, Mr. Qin, you have an important meeting with—”

“Cancel or reschedule it! I have more urgent matters to attend to!” Evander insisted.

“Alright, I’ll take care of it!”

Evander ended the call abruptly and hurried out of the hotel room. He had been staying at the hotel to avoid Senna, as seeing her only fueled his anger.

He quickly instructed his driver to take him to the airport. After a few hours of travel by private jet, he arrived and immediately went to see Belinda. She was crying, accompanied by a nurse.

“Belinda!”

“Evander!” Belinda replied between sobs.

“Belinda, what happened?” Evander asked, worry evident in his voice.

“Evander, our baby! I lost him!” Belinda cried out. “I started bleeding, and our baby... I couldn’t save him!”
