Fifty One

I let out an exasperated sigh as my eyes shot open. It was hopeless, the anticipation of whether my plan had worked was causing a serious inability to sleep. It was infuriating, this waiting game.

I rolled onto my side whilst reaching out my arm to hold onto Nate’s warm body, only I was met with a cold emptiness. That’s strange. Where could he be?

I checked the time on my phone, which was resting on the night stand. 2:03 am.

“You’re doing too much thinking, shut up and go to sleep.” Leia yawned.

I rolled my eyes as I left the cosy embrace of the bed to go and find Nate. My blonde waves fell down my back as I straightened out my silk, black night dress. There was something about silk against my skin, it felt delightful.

I tiptoed down the hall, trying to be as quiet as I could. I really didn’t feel like waiting up a bunch of tired werewolves, that had disaster written all over it.
