Within moments I was dressed and frantically running out into the clearing, with Nate on my tail. The feeling of exhaustion had rapidly vanished as a sudden boost of energy had taken over. I felt fearless, invincible even.

“Don’t shift. Skylar thinks you’re wolfless, we don’t want that advantage taken away.” Nate’s voice echoed in my mind.

“Noted. Which side are they attacking from?” I asked him. I realised in my sudden outburst of dashing outside, I actually hadn’t asked where the rogues had come from.

“East boarder. No magic either!” He warned. Well, where’s the fun in that? However I knew it was a necessary sacrifice, that was another advantage we really couldn’t afford to have taken away.

We soon arrived at the east edge of the pack grounds. To say the scene was carnage, well that would be an understatement. The woods echoed with painful howls and whimpers, as wolves frequently dropped to the ground.
